Dobermans of Distinction

Ron and Karen Rutledge owners of Stonewood Dobermans
at the Doberman Nationals

I started in Dobermans with the late George Rood in Dayton, Ohio. He was a handler and THE best Doberman man - bar none.

My first Doberman was a red bitch given to me by George out of CH. Marks Tey Shawn and CH. Marks Tey Melanie, her name was Athena. At the time George said she had the most perfect conformation for a Doberman he had ever seen, but she hated the show ring and refused to use her ears.

Years later I purchased two Dobermans the male - Mikadobe's Shadow out of CH. Inaqui De Black Shadow and Mikadobe's Dance to the Music (Jazz) from Doris Molin with Mikadobes Kennels. Jazz became one of our two foundation bitches.....the other foundation bitch is CH. Cambria's Fame n Fortune

Our most famous, and our first Champion is CH. Cambria's Fame N' Fortune (Ali), who I purchased from Jim and Ann White - Cambria Dobermans. Ali won the 2008 Best Puppy at the DPCA Nationals, and is a half sister to CH. Cambria's Victoria Secret (Rainy)

Our breeding program is health based for longevity with special emphasis on breeding stock selections to eliminate genetic disorders for DCM and vWD. Breeding for longevity not Top Twenty
